Description
Jan Rak's cottage in Husów is an example of typical, traditional residential construction in the vicinity of the village of Markowa in Poland. The house was built in a carcass construction, with the so-called With its characteristic linkage, it has been preserved as one of the few in the village and is a valuable example of the disappearing folk architecture.
The wooden building with an area of 78 m² was erected in 1720. For a long time it belonged to the Szmuc family, from which Jan Rak's wife came. It was built on a rectangular plan, one-bay, with a passageway. In the residential / eastern part / there is a room and kitchen, in the utility / western part / a chamber and a cowshed. A nineteenth-century stove with a stove and a pinned door at the pole facing the courtyard have been preserved. Thatched roof.
