The Citroën DS, and its less expensive variant, the Citroën ID, are front-engined, front-wheel drive executive cars manufactured and marketed by Citroën from 1955 to 1975 in sedan/fastback, wagon/estate and convertible body configurations, across three series. Both letter combination names work as puns in the French language. "DS" is pronounced exactly like déesse, literally meaning 'goddess', whereas "ID" is pronounced as idée.
Known for its aerodynamic, futuristic body design and innovative technology, the DS set new standards in ride quality, handling, and braking - thanks to both being the first mass production car equipped with hydropneumatic suspension, as well as disc brakes. The 1967 series 3 also introduced directional headlights to a mass-produced car.

In my later years quite unexpectedly I came to US, and became pro photographer. Cancer stoped me from continuing work 12 years ago.
